It’s a good idea to always have a supply of bread crumbs handy.

They make super crispy baked toppings and are good for binding homemade burgers and making schnitzel.

  1. Hi Jan,
Making and working with breadcrumbs sounds so easy. I’ve heard that it’s best to use bread that’s 1-2 days old. Is that true?

  2. Hi David,
Yes, bread that is a day or two old is probably best – although you can use day old bread if that’s all you have.
