I cooked this carbonara recipe for my family last night – it’s so quick and easy – dinner in ten minutes or less for this one – depends on how al dente you like your pasta!

Carbonara is a pasta dish, so if pasta’s not your thing, then maybe give this one a miss.  But for all you pasta lovers out there, and I know there are a lot of you, I hope you enjoy making and eating this one.

Carbonara

Carbonara Recipe – Ingredients

  • Pasta – (your choice – my favorite with this carbonara recipe is fettuccine)
  • Bacon – chopped into small pieces – allow approx 2 rashers per person
  • Sweet Corn Kernels (optional) – fresh or frozen.  As much or as little as you like.
  • Fresh Cream – approx 30 ml per person
  • Parmesan cheese to serve (optional)
  • Black pepper to serve (optional)

Carbonara Recipe – Method

  1. Start cooking your chosen pasta
  2. Cook bacon in fry pan – add a little oil if necessary to stop bacon sticking.  I like to cook until quite crisp
  3. Next, add corn to pan and fry with bacon for approx 1 minute
  4. Add cream and heat through – simmer for a minute of two
  5. You’re done!  Serve with cooked pasta – I like to add the pasta to the fry pan and mix all together
  6. Serve with Parmesan cheese and black pepper (optional)

Let me know how you get on with this carbonara recipe.   Was it dinner in ten minutes for you and your family?
